It’s sad how it is our own selves who suppress us from the freedom we’re made for. Our freedom from pain and freedom of being happy; our freedom from keeping secrets and freedom of being real; our freedom from fears; freedom from rejection; freedom to confess; freedom to make our choices; freedom to take a stand and speak out; our freedom from our sins and freedom to start new. We, or most of us, have been imprisoning ourselves in this big box of sadness and pain, etc., cling to what’s in there and never compel to seek for more; that maybe there’s more to life than this young man who broke you; the money you’ve lost and won; this flattery image of yours that you’re so obsessed with; or even the mistakes you’ve made that has been holding you down since. Time to time, the enemy will show you how messed up you are and flash these flickering images of your past but the good news has come and that is God has already taken into account all the wrong turns and mistakes in your life which can only mean one thing: the enemy has no power over you now! This is one of the many gifts our God has for us! Quit beating yourself up and accept His mercy!
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.” John 8:36
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm then. And do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5:1
The enemy will tell you how petty and unworthy you are but the bible says, always look back at the cross. Jesus thinks you’re worth it and that you deserve so much more than desolation.
